It’s a well known fact that an effective method to increase the amount of money you make with your product is to get more exposure. And exposure means traffic to your website. However, getting traffic is easier said than done.

Then once you have the traffic to your website you then have to convert those visitors to buyers. And with the industry changing so fast some of the tried and true methods of converting visitors to buyers no longer work as well as they used to.

So to save you wasting time trying to figure out what will work today here are the biggest conversion boosters that you can implement on your website today to increase sales.

1.  Keep It Above The Fold

Above the fold if the upper half of the front page of a newspaper. On the Internet this is the top third of your website. An easy way to describe this is from the point where you start scrolling is called ‘the fold’ so everything that is important, the stuff that grabs your readers attention should be on and above the fold.
Statistics show that almost half of your visitors will never scroll down your web page so the space above the fold is where you have your opt-in, your call to action or attention-grabbing headlines.

2.  Be You, Be Different

There is no-one in this world like you. No-one has the same story as you. No-one has the same experiences that you have.

This is where you be you and where you be different. That’s not good English I know, but I want you to understand that what you have to offer is something special, something unique, something important that you can and should share with the world.

This is where you can set yourself apart from the competition and raises you to a level of your own. Once you find your uniqueness and shared with others you can then command a price level of your own.

There is where you can create your personal branding and stand out from the crowd. People will not only remember you more easily but they will also be able to form a relationship with you where they can relate to you and to whom you can market it.

3.  Follow Up With People

Another statistic that you need to know is that on average it takes between 7 and 11 times for someone to see something before they will buy it. It takes that long for it to register that it is what they need and solves a problem that they have. But this doesn’t mean you should blast them with the same offer. Definitely not.

Instead write an effective follow-up campaign using methods such as an autoresponder sequence explaining how the product will benefit that person. As part of the sequence and at the same time give value and help them out by giving them something for free. This builds trust and will in turn increase your sales.

4.  Learn Basic Copywriting Skills

Oh the dreaded copywriting skills! This is one task that scares a lot of people and is actually one of the most important aspects of Internet marketing that you need to have a basic understanding of. Everywhere we go we see the written word… in books, on websites, blogs and we hear it on television, radio, videos etc.

Copywriting is the biggest key to landing traffic and good conversions, so having a basic understanding of how it works is essential.

However long you delay the fact, copywriting is also one of the biggest keys to getting traffic and have good conversions.

The words of an offer shape the story that enables the reader to imagine how they would feel, how they would be living, how they would … whatever. The better the imagination you can create in your reader’s mind the better chance of high conversions and therefore more money.

5.  Give ‘Reasons Why’ or ‘How Is This’ or What Am I’

If you were given an offer or you had to make a decision on something, what is the first question you ask yourself? Why. Why do I need this? Why do I need to buy this?

Another way to look at it is… how is this going to help me…what am I going to get from it?

If you provide the reason… why or… how is this or… what am I going to get from this, you then stop them from guessing what the answer is. This is where you tell them the answer, they then relate to what you are saying to them, they subconsciously nod their head and are more likely to buy from you.

You then direct them to where you want them to go… this is your call to action. You may want them to go to an order page, or op-tin form or whatever… just direct them somewhere to do something. Don’t leave them guessing, as this creates confusion. And a confused mind says no.

6.  Repeat What Works

The biggest mistake I see is people making a hundred dollars or so and then they are off to try something else, hoping to get the big money from somewhere else.
Don’t be one of those people who flit from one thing to another. Focus on what you know, what you are good at, what you can offer to others that can help them.

If you are making money from your blog, keep adding to it, add some video, join Facebook and share your thoughts and ideas with others. Build a following and build a relationship that people can trust.

And you know what? Repeat these activities as often as you can. Because if they have worked once they will usually work again, and again and again! Each time will be better than the last time

So put these tips into action right now, and I can guarantee you’ll see a huge increase in traffic and conversions.

P.S. Have you done anything to your own websites to increase conversions/results?
