They are just within our midst. The earth is the richest resource that man has. It is composed of so many other important materials.

To begin with, the soils that we tread upon everyday are very essential resources to man. They can be used for many important activities and aide man on his mission to fulfillment and happiness generally. The soil is made of a number of components or rather kinds. There are the sand soils, gravel, clay, loamy soils and the rocks. Each one of these has its own purposes.

The earth is rich in so many ways. The soils that we see every day and simply walk on have very many applications. Clay soils for instance can be used for art works of molding structures that can be sold to earn one a proper living. The sand and stones are used in construction works in the community. Agriculture is possible due to these soils especially the loam variety.

The earth is also rich in minerals underground. Metallic materials are extracted from the underground using modern technological ways. This includes the use of heavy machines to drill deep into the ground and ensure that the mineral deposits are duly extracted. Metals are used in very many ways in our communities. In the days of our forefathers, this was used to make spears and arrows for hunting purposes.

In addition to all the above, water is as well very important. It can be consumed directly or it can be used to make meals that people enjoy later. The water bodies are also massive sources of food. Fishes of all kinds are gotten from these features for both domestic and commercial purposes. Air is also another crucial element in nature.

It is generally a mixture of gases comprising of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and the rare gases. Each component mentioned here has several uses in the society. Oxygen is inhaled by all living things basically. Carbon dioxide is crucial in photosynthesis. Nitrogen is very essential in the process of converting starch into proteins in legumes
