Trailer Wraps & Letting Others Know Of Ovarian Cancer

Out-of-home advertising, as many in this field will be able to tell you, can accomplish a number of things. It can let people become more aware of companies and the array of goods and services that they can offer in the long term. With that said, though, what are some of the other important ways in which trailer wraps can come into effect? While the elevation of awareness for medical conditions might not be as prominent, it is still a point that is worth going over.

According to an article on AJC, Chris Baxter’s wife, Virginia, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. As a result, she had to undergo emergency surgery and chemotherapy for a month, which is the standard procedure for this particular condition. After this was done, Baxter made the decision to inform others about this condition and the ability to become checked for it as a result. He went out to increase awareness for ovarian cancer but through vehicles.

Baxter decided to use his truck and boat alike, setting wraps upon them in order to educate others about the concept of ovarian cancer. Not only would these wraps encourage women to become tested for this condition but they would offer information to help them become better informed on the matter. I felt like this was a strong idea on the part of Baxter, as it allowed his boat, for instance, to become more than just a vessel for competitions. Baxter’s vehicles would soon become vessels for a good cause.

Bringing attention to any cause or company can prove to be a challenge but such a challenge is minimized, in my view, through trailer wraps. They are reliable, to say the least, as they have been able to raise awareness for TV shows and the like. Keep in mind that Baxter had two different vessels for the sake of ovarian cancer awareness: his truck and his boat. What this meant was that his message’s reach was even greater, which is a positive that authorities such as JMR Graphics can attest to.

Just like any form of cancer, there is a tremendous amount of seriousness that should be seen when it comes to ovarian cancer. In my view, this is one condition that should not be overlooked, especially when there are so many ways to spread the word. Baxter wanted to make sure that he got his message across as easily as possible, which is what these wraps were able to do. Hopefully this will be able to educate others and encourage women to become tested as a result.
