PRO – Animation grabs the attention of others. Compared to static images that can be found on virtually any website, GIFs are definitely better at grabbing the attention of others. The reason for this is that they move, meaning that they generate more interest by nature. Users want to know how these GIFs end, hoping for a funny or otherwise satisfying result. CON – Animated images are larger in file size. While GIFs do not necessarily have to be big in terms of what’s seen, they are undoubtedly large in file size.
