Truck Wraps: Could QR Codes Be Integrated?

I’d like to think that we are living in the age of smartphones. They are viewed, by many, as mini-computers and the various functions they possess only help to illustrate this point that much more. One of the defining traits of mobile technology, in my view, is QR codes and you can be certain that they have a tremendous degree of effectiveness associated with them. When it comes to such codes, though, the question must be asked, “Can they be integrated into truck wraps?”

QR – or Quick Response – codes are some of the most common types of bar codes seen on the Internet. Initially designed for automotive purposes, QR codes have since expanded to include a number of companies, whether they are related to retail, technology, or what have you. Basically, in this day and age, they are used in order to help direct people to websites with a sense of rapidness intact. Even though the naked eye may lead you to believe otherwise, each code is made differently.

QR codes, in my view, seem to be designed for those who are short on time. They want to be able to get to where they need almost instantly, which is why they may not be too happy about searching around Google to find the page they require. This level of effort is eliminated, though, with the usage of QR codes since they can immediately direct potential consumers to where they have to go. These codes seem to be quite useful for newer companies without much of a presence on the Internet.

Of course, you have to keep in mind that these have to possess certain levels of quality if they are to be integrated into truck wraps. For example, smartphones have to pick up on the clearest images possible, which is where the printing capabilities of companies like JMR Graphics can come into effect. It’s also worth noting that they must not possess broken links. If these codes lead to pages which do not exist, you can be certain that the codes in question will be utterly useless.

To say that QR codes have their benefits would be nothing short of an understatement. However, these items must be integrated with a sense of quality and it’s clear that this can fall into a number of categories. These can include – but are not necessarily limited to – unbroken links and visual clarity for devices to pick up. I believe that not only can QR codes provide their own levels of assistance but that, depending on certain brands, could become part of truck wraps in general.
